The Timber Cooperative is an employee-owned business based in Caernarfon (Gwynedd), specialising in producing and processing high-quality, locally sourced timber.
We're a collective of woodland & woodworking enthusiasts, passionate about enabling our local communities to affordably undertake building projects in an environmentally-conscious manner.
From our sawmill we supply a range of naturally durable timber products for building and landscaping. All our timber is certified 'Grown in Britain', sourced locally from sustainably managed Welsh woodlands.
Our state of the art milling equipment allows us to produce precision-finished products, whilst our expert sawyers pride themselves on using all timber to its best advantage.
We supply a range of naturally durable, locally sourced timber for fencing, as well as gates, posts and way markers.
Large, custom cut structural timber posts and beams, commonly required for renovation projects, timber framed builds and extensions.
Our fresh cut sleepers are naturally durable and low maintenance, so ideal for home or public gardens, allotments & many other settings.
From decking boards to joists and support posts; we supply everything you need to create a beautiful outdoor space.
Waney (or live edged) cladding is a rustic style of weather boarding, where the board is cut on 3 sides, leaving one ‘live’ edge.
Also called shiplap or clinker board), this straight cut cladding is horizontally applied, overlapping for a clean, classic appearance with strong visual appeal.
We are able to dry and process our own milled timber onsite, allowing us to offer a wide range of UKCA certified planed and profiled timbers (such as cladding and floorboards), as well as more unique options such as 'Yaki Sugi'.
Our team are happy to discuss your specific project requirements to provide you with a more bespoke, high quality product that is both durable and sustainable.
From time to time we'll post here about what we're up to, product applications, and more.
